Thoughts from this Turtle's Brain
Love can arrive in many ways
Slowly like a rose, with petals unfolding
Gently as Grandfather Sun shows his face each day.
Or, Loudly, like a Brother Wind howling past the door
Sometimes, it comes quietly, one soft sound at a time.
Love may be greeted with hopeful feelings,
Feelings of excitement, or feelings of fear.
Love may be greeted as an old and familiar friend,
Growing softly in the faces of a friend held dear,
Or Love may arrive unexpectedly, with surprise and delight,
Like a knock on the door in the middle of the night.
Love may be a Gift, opened slowly, one day at a time.
Growing stronger each day in challenges and trials,
Each one allowing more sharing and drawing us closer,
With Love being the barrier that keeps us from harm.
God shares his Blessings in ways, mysterious and wise,
With us, his children here on Mother Earth.
Love may be many things, to each of us showing a different face.
As different as all those who make up this Human Kind.
As beautiful as a sunrise, or a Rainbow in Father Sky.
God has Blessed us with this precious Gift,
Of loving in so many ways, with so much Joy.
Each day is a new phase of the Journey we share,
That begins anew and fades off into Eternity, just out of our sight.
Thank you for sharing your Journey with me.
